Why Choose Raven Aircraft Sales?
Experience you can verify. Service you can rely on. Results that speak for themselves.
There is no shortage of people willing to list your aircraft on an online marketplace. What is rare is a brokerage led by someone who has actually flown both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters professionally. Someone who understands the difference between a well-maintained airframe and one managed to minimum standards, who can read a logbook the way a buyer will, and who brings decades of hands-on aviation experience to every conversation.
That is what Raven Aircraft Sales offers.
In an industry where pressure tactics and commission-driven advice are far too common, we take a different approach. If a deal does not serve your best interest, we will tell you, even if that means walking away. Our reputation is built on honesty, transparency, and doing what is right for our clients, not simply closing a sale.
Here is what that means in practice.
Experience That Goes Beyond the Desk
The foundation of Raven Aircraft Sales is genuine aviation expertise — not sales experience applied to aviation, but aviation experience applied to sales.
Our principal, Luke Yanik, holds an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with commercial and IFR ratings, and has accumulated over 6,500 total flight hours including more than 2,000 hours in helicopters. He has flown a broad range of aircraft types across private, commercial, and airline operations — from Cessna 172s and Robinson R44s to King Airs, Citation 525s, Saab 340s, and Boeing 737NGs. He holds a Class 3 Flight Instructor rating and has instructed across ground school, flight, and simulator environments.
This depth of experience means that when we assess an aircraft for listing, evaluate a buyer’s inquiry, or advise a seller on pricing and condition, we are drawing on direct, current, operational knowledge — not estimates or assumptions. We have flown these aircraft. We know what to look for, what questions to ask, and what the answers mean.
For buyers and sellers alike, working with a broker who actually knows aircraft is the difference between a smooth transaction and an expensive surprise.
A Genuinely Full-Service Brokerage
Many brokerages say they are full-service. Raven Aircraft Sales can tell you exactly what that means, because we handle every element of an aircraft transaction ourselves — not as an upsell, but as a standard part of what we do.
For sellers, this means: valuation and pricing strategy, professional advertising and marketing, buyer qualification, negotiation, inspection coordination, purchase agreement preparation, Transport Canada ownership transfer, and closing.
For buyers, this means: aircraft sourcing (including off-market opportunities), pre-purchase inspection coordination, negotiation support, financing referrals, Transport Canada registration, importation paperwork, training referrals, and post-purchase support.
Beyond the transaction itself, we provide access to a service network that most clients don’t have on their own: insurance providers, financial institutions, qualified AMEs, flight instructors, simulator facilities, and Transport Canada contacts across Canada and North America.
You make one call. We handle the rest.
A Network Built Over Two Decades
The relationships that matter most in aviation are not found in a directory — they are earned over years of professional engagement. Raven Aircraft Sales has spent over two decades building a network of owners, commercial operators, flight schools, maintenance providers, insurance brokers, financial institutions, and industry contacts across Canada and North America.
For sellers, this network means your aircraft reaches qualified buyers through channels that passive listings simply don’t access. For buyers, it means access to aircraft — including off-market opportunities — that never appear in a public search.
When a transaction requires cross-border coordination, specialist maintenance, aviation financing, or Transport Canada liaison, we have the right contact already in place. That saves time, reduces friction, and consistently produces better outcomes for our clients.
Integrity as a Business Model
The aircraft sales industry, like any high-value transaction environment, rewards integrity in the long run. Our client base is built almost entirely on referrals and repeat business — which means that the way we treat every client directly determines whether the next one calls us.
We give honest valuations, even when the honest answer is not what a seller wants to hear. We disclose known issues accurately, because transactions that fall apart at inspection cost everyone time and money. We communicate clearly throughout the process so that buyers and sellers are never left wondering where things stand. And we price our services fairly, because a client who feels well-served is the most valuable marketing we have.
This approach has produced a consistent pattern of return clients and referrals that we are genuinely proud of. It is the most reliable measure of whether a brokerage is actually doing its job well.
Dedicated 100% to Aircraft Sales
Raven Aircraft Sales does one thing: aircraft sales. We are not a flight school that also lists aircraft, a maintenance shop with a brokerage side business, or a general sales operation that happens to include aviation. We focus on buying and selling aircraft — which means our market knowledge is current, our buyer and seller relationships are active, and our attention is undivided when we take on your transaction.
For clients who want to work with someone who is genuinely invested in the outcome — not simply processing a listing — that focus matters.
